Freddie known in martial arts circles as ‘Fast Foot Freddie’ – having achieved Junior Black Belt status aged 10 and achieved several other titles during his short martial arts career. He is driven to prove to other children that taking part in sports, irrespective of your ability, is healthier than sitting watching TV or playing games on a console.
Freddie established the ‘Fast Foot Squad’ and uploads tutorials on YouTube to encourage parents and children to take up exercise. He travels the UK driving his healthy living message to other children and was recently asked to attend a large Confidence Build Seminar, displaying his martial arts as a way of improving self-esteem, physical confidence, tackling bullying and addressing mental health issues.
Freddie’s motto is ‘Be different, be you’ and he takes this message wherever he goes to show others that despite failures, if you continue to push yourself you can achieve your goals. Attending the ‘Young Esteem Summit’ he spoke in front of an audience of children and adults about confidence issues and how to be happy to be yourself.
This year Freddie is on the path to using his skills for charity events raising money for Bluebell Wood Hospice.
