Jennifer has achieved an enormous amount over recent years and remains an inspiration to both her peer group and adults alike, despite having sadly lost her Dad to Prostate Cancer in February this year. For over a year Jennifer has volunteered at Abbeyfield Nursing Home, where she is greatly respected. Demonstrating great patience and sensitivity beyond her years, Jennifer cared for her Dad during his illness.
Jennifer was invited to take part in a Diana Award Inspire Event at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. She delivered such an excellent and memorable set of presentations on the power of volunteering, that she was asked to take part in an all-day school-based event which was led by a team from the Diana Award who visited from London.
Jennifer has supported several causes but her heart lies with caring, where she has also been an active participant at Young Carers, contributing invaluable ideas. Moreover she has also conducted a successful charity drive and spoke bravely about Prostate Cancer to numerous classes within school and also competed in the Young Philanthropy Initiative in 2016, where following an intensive period of assessment, her presentation and group were chosen as winners. Jennifer was awarded £3,000 which was donated to Accord Hospice.
Jennifer displays great modesty, but is also a bundle of energy and innovation. Her enthusiasm and commitment is wholehearted and the difference it has made to others is immeasurable.
