Nathan is an Ambassador for his school, town, church and British Youth. He has a diverse range of charities that he has embraced and is passionate about helping the less able and vulnerable from all sectors. He is a member of the Garstang Youth Council and a representative for North West, UK Youth Voice and also trained for the Great North Swim raising over £800 for the Brain and Spine Foundation

Since starting secondary school, he had a bus pass and viewed from the top deck the ever-increasing number of new homes engulfing the town and nearby villages. Nathan felt it was important to keep the green areas and the charity he chose to support in his Mayoral year was the Millennium Green. Nathan had a goal of raising £1,000 to keep the use of the Green for all to enjoy and by running family fund raising events for everyone to enjoy, reached close to £1,400 which he presented to the trustees of the green. The Green is enjoyed by young and old, able and disabled and offers the opportunity to enjoy the local wildlife. Schools also use it for environmental lessons and there is an area for community events and concerts.
