Olivia is not only an outstanding fundraiser but also an avid volunteer. In just three years she has raised over £10,000 and volunteers with the Girl Guides and RNLI. Olivia spends most weekends and evenings fundraising and helping others in the community. Whilst many other teenagers locally would be out with friends or absorbed with console games, Olivia has been raising awareness and funds through having stalls, holding competitions and organising pageants.
The charities Olivia raises funds for are close to her heart and include: Abbie’s Army, for children with brain cancer; Air Ambulance Wales; Cancer Research; and, the British Heart Foundation. As the local Carnival Queen and Teen Natural Beauty North Wales, Olivia is using her position to help teach younger contestants’ self-confidence and coaching them to be the best that they can be whilst still having fun and enjoying the process. She is keen to pass on her experiences of giving back to others and the impact this has on communities, in the hope that it inspires others to contribute to the community.
Olivia has gone from being an active participant in the Holyhead Festival and Carnival to now being a volunteer in the team that run the event. She also volunteers weekly at the local dance school where she has become a familiar face to many of the younger members of the community. Her dedication brings the community together for a greater cause.
